Mission of the MDWFA
Mission
The mission of the MDWFA is to protect and further the sport of hunting waterfowl in the State of Maryland.
Objectives
- Maintain a cooperative partnership and open dialog with Maryland Department of Natural Resources and all agencies having interest in the hunting, management and conservation of waterfowl and their habitat in the State of Maryland.
- Promote the conservation of waterfowl and habitat of the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay Ecosystem.
- Participate in the development, enactment and of legislation, regulations and education consistent with the mission of the MDWFA.
- Promote the general welfare of waterfowling community giving instructions through communication and educational programs. To receive and administer funds for educational and recreational purposes for the general public, all for the public welfare and for no other purpose.
